This coffee comes to us from Grupo Terruno Nayarita, a group committed to making socially and environmentally friendly and traceable coffees available. They also help producers with processing equipment and economic initiatives such as CSA models, ensuring farmers can get paid up front even if there is a bad year due to weather. El Cuarenteno is a small, rural community located in the foothills of Sierra de San Juan.

Nayarit is the northernmost coffee growing region in Mexico and is known for its volcanic soil, producing smooth and balanced cups rich with chocolate and citrus notes. We hope you enjoy this Mexico offering that is smooth with deep chocolate notes and a long, lingering finish. We're finding it pretty amicable to most brew methods, getting an especially clean cup on Chemex.
